62nd Annual NYC Columbus Day Parade

September 30, 2006 Local Events, Television

Well fellow Italian-Americans, parade-lovers, and people with nothing to do on a Monday in October, its that time again: the NYC Columbus Day Parade.

I thought I’d share the parade information, since oddly enough, no one else — not NYC.gov, not even the Columbus Citizens Foundation — seems to be sharing anything concrete about the parade this year.

62nd Annual NYC Columbus Day Parade

  • Monday October 9, 2006, starting 11:30AM
  • Fifth Avenue from 44th to 79th Streets, then east to Third Avenue
  • For more info, call (212) 249-9923

For anyone who can’t make it, set your TiVos to or turn on NBC for the live telecast.

Maybe CNBC’s Maria Bartiromo will be hosting again this year. Of course, NBC hasn’t mentioned anything yet about the parade either…

Thank you! You know, no else on the net had any information about the parade today. What were they thinking? Perhaps they wanted to discourage the crowds?
