Katie Holmes delivered a baby girl Tuesday, just one year after they started dating:
Actor Tom Cruise and his fiance, actress Katie Holmes, welcomed the birth of a daughter on Tuesday, according to Cruise’s publicist.
They named the girl Suri, which “has its origins in Hebrew, meaning ‘princess,’ or in Persian, meaning ‘red rose,’ ” Cruise spokesman Paul Bloch said in a statement.
The baby weighed 7 pounds, 7 ounces, he said, and was 20 inches long. Both mother and daughter were doing well, Bloch said.
Hell immediately froze over. Domain names SuriCruise.com and SuriHolmes.com were immediately registered. And, of course, blogs and magazines are going wild with the news.
It’s no Brangelina baby in Namibia, but this is big news in the celebritainment world.
So I guess they’re going to get married afterall? Sigh. Katie, it wasn’t supposed to happen this way.
